Gargoyles

Today in gifted, we learned about Gargoyles, which function as a rain spout carrying rain water off cathedrel roofs. Gargoyles were built on to Gothic style architecture. One of the best known examples of Gothic architecture and gargoyles is the Notre Dame Cathedral of Paris. Can you believe that it often took up to two hundred years to build a cathedral? It took from 1163-1250 to build Notre Dame. We made some Gargoyels out of clay today. Our teacher gave us some clay and we hade to make it into a Gargoyle. We were very creative!
